In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
Although altered, this house is included in the survey primarily for the historical informaiton it offers. The most intact, it is one of three (929, 935, 936 14th Avenue) houses Stiles built in this vicinity in 1904. According to the 1905 City Directory, Ferdinand Stiles, building contractor and F. L. Stiles, real estate lived at 928 16th Avenue North. This house is a pattern book American Foursquare and a good example of popular early 20th century housing.
This two story "foursquare" has a hipped roof with flared eaves. The asymmetrical entrance is an inset corner porch balanced by a three-sided bay. A two story bay with a trio of arched windows projects to the south. The house was originally shingled at the second level and clapboard below.
