These two simple buildings were completed in close succession between 1960 and 1961 for the Colorado Fuel & Iron Corporation. There was originally a sign for the Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation, set above the smaller building, which was also apparently completed after the larger building. The smaller building definitely reads as an office wing, which it was, and is typical of commercial buildings of the early or mid-1960s. It once faced a somewhat distinctive screen, made up of a grid of circular rings, probably of concrete. The much larger building reads as a very large utilitarian box, with few character defining features.



This complex is comprised of two buildings, both rectangular in plan. The northern building is much smaller in area and also lower in height. It is of wood frame construction. Its façade is characterized by aluminum frame windows, within a grid of solid panels, which are also set in aluminum frames. A wide projecting pilaster, clad in stone veneer, separates the slightly longer bank of windows from the entrance area to the north, which also includes full height storefront. Currently, a series of dark blue metallic awnings play an important role in altering the original character of the main elevation. The north elevation, clad in aluminum ribbed siding, has few openings.

The taller and larger building to the south presents itself as a concrete box, with bay divisions marked by concrete pilasters. There are few other character defining features. Currently, the elevations have few visible openings or fenestration, although early photos suggest that there was once a continuous band of glazing at the top of all four elevations.
