Summary for 208 10TH AVE / Parcel ID 2197600480 / Inv # 0

Historic Name: Common Name:
Style: Queen Anne - Free Classic Neighborhood: First Hill
Built By: Year Built: 1905
This is a fairly good example of Queen Anne Free Classic detailing applied to a duplex housed in a foursquare structure exhibiting a high degree of integrity despite an early back end addition and the installation of several storm windows.

This is one of approximately 2,200 small residential buildings that are still extant out of more than 5,000 that were built by the end of 1906 in Seattleā€™s Central Area, Eastlake, First Hill, Leschi, Madison Park, Madrona, and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods.

A complete permit history, and a complete record of ownership and occupation have not yet been prepared for this property; however, Edwin Secrest and his wife apparently owned the structure when it was surveyed by the King County Assessor in 1937. The current owners, Wendell Patrick Fleet and Mallory Clarke et al, acquired the property from L. Harold Armstrong in 1989.
