Appearance
This is a two story, clapboard clad, wood frame single-family residence on a concrete foundation, over a full basement.

The moderately pitched, hipped roof with wide unenclosed overhanging eaves, exposed rafter tails, and the square piers at the entry porch, in this case situated near the center of the south facing side elevation, are all features associated with the Craftsman style. The two story, four-square form, the asymmetrically located, one story bay, and the horizontal emphasis in the design of the façades are elements more commonly seen in Prairie style work. The engaged pier at the southwest corner, the arch over the largest of the front facing windows, and the dentil strip separating the first and second floors add a classical flavor to the essentially pre-modern composition.

The house was built in 1906 (King County Property Record Card; the King County GIS Center Property Report, accessed March 6, 2008). The house was remodeled in 1929 according to the King County Property Record Card. The windows at the front-facing bay appear to have been replaced, and an arbor-like element appears to have been removed from the top of the bay.
