This house embodies the distinctive characteristics of the Queen Anne style. It is an excellent and rare intact example. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. F. E. Lynn owned this house in 1933.
This two story Queen Anne cottage has a steep hipped roof with hipped and shed projections to create converging rooflines. The foacl points are a two story tower and the two story porch, both of which are decoarated with scalloped shingels. The first floor entrance porch is pedimented and is supported by slender classical columns. The second floor porch is fully shingled and has round arch bays.
