Bikur Cholum Tabernacle is important for its associations with the cultural life and development of the strong Jewish commmunity in this survey area. It si also an exceptionally pleasing interpretation of the style.
Bikur Sholum Tabernacle is a pleasing, one story brick synagogue with strong symmetry in massing as well as detail. It is characterized by a dominant arched entrance way set in a pedimented center bay which rises slightly above the roofline. Two heights of hipped roof behind the projection create depth and strengthen the symmetry. The double door entrance has a six light, vesticle transom above.
