This building appears to be the oldest unaltered apartment building in Seattle.
This rectangular frame box is a vernacular interpretation of high style San Francisco rowhouses. Miraculously intact, it has rhythmic full height square bays with gable roofs applied to the fa├žade dividing the building into "row houses." One story gabled stoops with turned posts and spindlework announce the entrances. The cornice is bracketed and the bays shingled. A continuous two story gallery spans the rear of the building.
