In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This house is one of a row of late 19th and early 20th century vernacular houses. This one, however, is a traditional vernacular form embellished with Craftsman details. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle. This house also contributes to the historic streetscape. It does not appear on the 1904-1905 Sanborn Map.
This is a traditional one & 1/2 story, gable front vernacular form enriched with Craftsman details. The focal point is a trio of windows set in a second floor bracketed bay in the center of the gable. The upper sashes are diamond patterned and there are tiny diamond pattern decorative windows to each side of the trio. A small entrance porch is set into the northwest corner of the house. Although retaining its distinctive character the house is compromised by horizontal and vertical vinyl siding.
