This is a somewhat unusual single family residence incorporating some residual elements of late Queen Anne design and some features of arts and crafts work in a modified foursquare scheme exhibiting a fairly high degree of integrity.

This is one of approximately 2,200 houses that are still extant out of more than 5,000 that were built by the end of 1906 in Seattleā€™s Central Area, Eastlake, First Hill, Leschi, Madison Park, Madrona, and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods.

A complete permit history, and a complete record of ownership and occupation have not yet been prepared for this property.

This is a two story, clapboard, shingle and drop siding clad, wood frame single-family residence on a concrete foundation, over a partial (40%) basement. The essentially rectangular plan is capped by a hip roof with hipped dormers, moderate overhangs and enclosed soffits. The bays have nearly flat roofs and minimal overhangs; the front porch has a nearly flat roof with moderate overhangs. The designer appears to have utilize a "cross" layout at the upper level (a fairly common departure from the typical foursquare scheme).

This house was built in 1906 according to the King County Property Record Card and the King County GIS Center Property Report.

A deck appears to have been added at the rear of the structure. The front steps appear to have been replaced and wood railings have been added. The front door has been replaced.
