Historic Name: Unknown Common Name:
Style: Arts & Crafts - Craftsman Neighborhood: Central Area
Built By: Year Built: 1909

Significance
This house is one of a cohesive row of early 20th century vernacular dwellings built in 1908 and 1909 by Z. A. Harrison. The houses are important as a unit because they enhance our knowledge of residential development in Seattle and the evolution of vernacular architecture. This house contributes to the historic streetscape of the north side of the 200 block of 17th Avenue South. Stefano Piergrosse acquired this property in 1920.

Appearance
This vernacular house is a variation of 208 17th Avenue South and is an expression of the Craftsman style interpreted on a traditional gable front house form. This house, unlike #208, has a two-story, full width porch. The upper porch is a fully glazed sleeping porch while the lower one is open and supported by hearty square posts. The front gable is half timbered and knee braces decorate the eave. The house has been clad in vinyl and most windows replaced with aluminum sash.
